Hosparus Health

Overview

Founded in 1978, Hosparus Health is a hospice and palliative care organization serving 27 counties in Kentucky including the Louisville Metro Area, and 14 counties in Indiana. Hosparus Health has a sterling reputation as a leader in end of life and palliative care.

Results

In 2016, Hosparus Health engaged Trek Advancement to lead a feasibility study for a comprehensive capital campaign. The study was completed in late 2016, and the quiet phase of the People of Compassion campaign was launched in January 2017, with Trek serving as campaign counsel.

Trek guided the evolution of the development department through the transition of key executive leadership positions while providing coaching and consistency along the way. The quiet phase of the campaign was tremendously successful raising more than $22 million of the $24 million goal with one year remaining. This early success allowed Hosparus Health to complete projects ahead of schedule including renovations of facilities, implementation of telehealth technology, and the creation of an Employee Assistance Fund. To date, the campaign has raised $29 million surpassing its goal. Trek continues to work with staff and volunteer leaders on all aspects of campaign execution and development staff growth and development.
